Sometimes the classroom time is not enough for students to comprehend the lesson. That’s why it’s good for students to have access to other resources that are approved for esucators to use! Here are some suggestions of resources that students should to help them succeed in school and struggle a lot less.
● Khan Academy

Khan Academy is a free academic website created by mathematician Salman Khan that covers K-12 and college education STEM material. Coming from experience, this site helps students practice and test their math skills and helps clear any confusion with their video lessons. Khan Academy also offers help for students who are taking STEM related AP courses and help prepare students for tests that they will take in the future, such as the SAT, the Praxis Core, etc.. This site should be suggested to students who want more practice in their math or science skills and to those who may be struggling and want to comprehend the material. The weaknesses that Khan Academy has is probably the video lessons that may not provide an example that a student wants to see or the video may provide only one example instead of 2 or more. I would try to modify the videos in order to make more examples that could be most likely seen on a test or in the classroom. I would also want to include examples of higher difficulty to challenge the students when taking a practice test or quiz on this site.
● Purdue OWL APA Guidelines

This website from Purdue University covers the guidelines of how to write a paper in APA format, a common format to use in writing assignments in high school and college courses. For those who have not learned how to write in APA format or are beginning to learn, this site helps students in learning how to cite references, what their work cited should look like depending on the sources they use and whether or not they need to include a title. The site even provides a sample of an APA paper for students to look at and use as a reference when writing their papers. The site is appropriate for students in grades 9-12. An educator can provide a guide on how to navigate the site when introducing this site to their students when discussing paper format. One can also use the Purdue Owl site for MLA format as well!
